Rough Clip #2

Rough Clip #1

Ten Questions

1) Can glaring light be captured through reflection?
2) Can light be distorted through other surfaces?
3) How are light rays made through recording light?
4) How are light streaks formed in a particular way?
5) Can lights be duplicated?
6) Where are the best glaring lights downtown?
7) Will holiday lights give more depth to the edit?
8) Will digital effects create the effects I want?
9) Can I create those effects with digital editing?
10) How well will the sounds fit together with the visual?

Production Strategy

I will use the light capturing strategy of taking stills and videos of glaring lights.

Trek Assessment #4

My favorite place was under the Midwest Express Center because it had very clear lighting and did not give the orange tint that came from the street lights around the rest of downtown.

Trek Assessment #3

As I mentioned before, one surprise I encountered was how well random stills and videos fit together well.

Something I always find interesting is how short a picture can be cut to just enough so the human eye can register.

Going through my clips that didn't turn out, I found how easy it is to manipulate a shot taken at night.

Trek Assessment #2

I recorded both treks at night in the downtown area. In trek 1 I found most sounds very tranquil.

When I recorded trek 2 it was very peaceful in the downtown area, but that was not evident in my edited clips.

Trek Assessment #1

I was stressed due to the quality of the shots I took. Most shots did not turn out due to the surrounding lighting, but I learned how to work with the material I had.

I was shocked at how well the pictures fit together such as those in Street Lights.
